Based on MA research Fear: Imaginary or Real?, this performance developed criticisms of how we define professionalism and its impact on human behaviour and relationships. Focusing on representations of the body to question the ‘strong’ and ‘weak’ within a hierarchal system that dictates definitions of ‘success’ and ‘failure’, ‘humiliation’ and ‘integrity’. Is there freedom of choice and how does one resist humiliation?
Is there freedom of change and how does one choose to stand in the absence of ethics?
The frictions behind these struggles expose fears in the absurdity of our human condition, competing like children who confused the consequences in life for a game.
