Rock Steady is a solo that developed from a series of improvisations that took place in a site specific location: embodying instability within stability, the uncertainty of belonging and placement, and the struggle for clarity.
Uncertainty was a starting point for the i.d.Entity research, as I explored my initial feelings of being in and out of place; developing different movement dynamics in the process of embodying uncertainty and how this can be applied to a specific context at a later stage in the project, that is primarily concerned with the paradox of geo-political borders and one’s sense of borderless-ness.
